Law Enforcement Responsibility in India with Police?

If we explore some of the corrupt institution in our country first things comes in our mind is Police department, Private education system, RTO, Municipal Corporation or Development Authorities.  A common man is afraid to visit these institute in India.   Police is meant for enforcement of the social structure in the society and is the key for the law of land enforcement mechanism.  My personal experience is that it is easier to get the dispute resolved through some other means rather going to Police or court.  Police department needs to be independent body rather than the puppet of politicians in power.  Need of the hour is to fix the issue but question comes how and where?  Will the politician allow this to happen?  Answer is obvious a "BIG NO".  As per news channels, half of the politician are with charges of rape, loot, murder etc. etc.  How come politician will allow this to happen in any forum.

Then what is the forum to address this issue?  Probably a social revolution and followed by an election for change!   Many Annas are required to come out and wake up the government and fight with corrupt and criminal politicians and corrupt institute.

Couple of times I had to visit local police station for passport verification,  I was shocked that police Inspector asked bribe for verification activities.  It is their duty to visit individuals house to verify the identity and address, instead they just gave me a call and asked me to report to police station with proof of address.   In general they create a situation in which common man land up paying the bribe.

Common man is suffocated and frustrated and wants to come out from this situation.  Let us stand up together for a social change against corrupt institutions.

Good article! Transformation of the society involves transformation of every individual. One Anna is not sufficient. When all of us collective transform ourselves, it is then we will build a transformed society. The best example is the society at Japan.
