I would like to share about our experience in Patnitop, the accommodation, the weather, local convenience, medical facilities etc, etc.. Patnitop is situated around 85 Km from Katara. After Maata Vaishno Devi Darshan next day we started for Patnitop. There is only one bus operated by local bus and hotel guy. It starts at 11.00 am and reaches by 3.30 PM. In between bus fellow stops at n-numbers of eateries. Patnitop and way to Patnitop is really memorable. It is just complete natural beauties nothing hampered by mankind. Locals are not cunning, area is sparsely populated. There you get horse for local site seeing. You may get local van guy also but I would suggest go for a horse ride. There you can see the view point, small apple garden and shiva temple. Just sit at one place you can see beautiful view around for hours. Every where you see “Deodar trees” or “Taar Trees”. There are no restaurant for food at Patnitop. There are one or two tea stalls, who also keeps Maggies and Bhajjiya one has to be dependent on hotel meal services only.Patnitop is at quite high altitude therefore even in April-end or in May one find this place quite cold especially in nights. There is only one doctor in this area that too he does not visit to patient, even you fall sick you need to go to his clinic in any critical condition. My wife had fallen sick and hotel (Hotel Jay shree)fellow could not arrange the doctor. It is advisable to carry basic medicines like Paracitamol, anti-allergy medicines.
